Please note this site is going to be replaced with the new design very soon - some logistical/version info on this site is out of date. The new site can be found here.
Please note specifically: new releases page (dir), new mailing list (google group), new subversion hosting (googlecode)

Kamaelia docs : Kamaelia.Support.OscarUtil

OSCAR Utility functions

This file includes functions for packing and unpacking binary data and defines some constants useful for dealing with OSCAR.

This is the first of two utility modules. OscarUtil2 is the other. Most AIM code requires both this module and OscarUtil2.

Credit goes to Alexandr Shutko for errorCodes dictionary (and for writing an excellent guide on the OSCAR protocol). You can find the original table at this page.

Feedback

Got a problem with the documentation? Something unclear that could be clearer? Want to help improve it? Constructive criticism is very welcome - especially if you can suggest a better rewording!

Please leave you feedback here in reply to the documentation thread in the Kamaelia blog.
